Cedar Rapids Vigil for the Victims of the Orlando Shooting

On June 12, 2016, Omar Mateen opened fire in the Pulse Nightclub, an LGBT bar in Orlando, Florida. Mateen killed 49 and injured over 50 in the deadliest mass shooting in the nation’s history.

In honor and memory of the victims a candlelight vigil was organized for Sunday evening at Belle’s Basix, Cedar Rapids, Iowa’s only LGBT bar.

Pride flags were set out in the front of Belle’s Basix on Sunday, June 12th.
